All fishing equipment and licenses are covered by the captain. You only need to bring your snacks, drinks, and whatever other necessity you may need for your 3 hour charter.
PLEASE NOTE: This charter is nearshore / inshore and not deep sea. It is strictly SHARK FISHING ONLY and all catch is “CATCH AND RELEASE”. However IF we do hook something that is within legal limits you are more than welcome to take it with you. This charter is set for the captain to bait your hooks and cast. BeachCombing
Disappearing island is Located between the most southern part of Hilton Head Island and Daufuskie Island. It is known by many different names. This sandbar is exposed only during lowtide. The Lowcountry offers over 700 different kinds of seashells, the seclusion and time under water makes this sandbar the best place to view and find shells, crabs, and with a little luck- maybe even shark teeth. Other unique items not typically found on a crowded HHI Beach could be seen here. There are rules for certain shells and sea-life that must remain on the beach and we 100% respect and follow them. Once we've reached this cool little island, the Captain will hop off, pull the boat forward and set up for you to exit. While you're at the sandbar, the Captain will wait on board never leaving site. Beachcomb or bring a blanket and have a picnic. How you spend your time while there is up to you. This trip includes a dolphin tour and an a hour combing Disappearing Island. It can only be visited at lowtide and since lowtide times change each day, the time available to visit varies daily. This tour is a family favorite! Call to ask about available times.

What to Bring
Gear: Be prepared for possible changes in weather and possible splashing. A light rain coat, comfortable clothing, and towels are recommended specially for longer trips.
Sunscreen and Bug Spray: NO SPRAY SUNSCREEN. Spray sunscreen makes the boat slippery and can be dangerous for passengers. If spray sunscreen is all you have available, spraying needs to be done on the dock NOT on the boat. Bug spray is thinner substance and not as greasy so spraying on boat is ok.
Beverages: BYOB, Wine, Beer, Water, Juice or whatever you need for your hydration needs. Be sure to bring your own ice and/or cups. There is no ice or cups on the boat. We recommend bringing a cooler as our cooler on the boat is used for bait.
Food: Whatever you want to bring is ok with us except BANANAS (see below). Pack accordingly for longer trips – be sure to bring your own napkins, plates, and cutlery needed for your food. Boat is not equipped with any of these necessities.
NO BANANA’S: We can’t say how far back this superstition goes, but Bananas are deemed unlucky by fisherman and those catering to that trade. Usually this rumor takes the form of the fish not biting on the day when bananas were discovered onboard, foul weather sweeping in, and mechanical breakdowns and other mishaps are also pointed to. We respect the fishing gods!!
Trash: Pack in, pack out your own trash. Help us keep our animals safe, waterways and boat clean by disposing of your own trash the proper way.
